Mild Strange Sensation On Left Cheek, Massaging Helps. What Am I Experiencing?
I experience a very mild sensation in the left cheek two or three times a day which doesn't last more than five seconds. It feels like a mosquito is hovering very closely over the affected area; it also feels that it comes in waves and ends fairly quickly. There is no pain accompanying this sensation. I generally massage it with my hand and then it disappears. It also ends without rubbing it. Please tell me what am I experiencing? do I have anything to worry about? If there is, what can I do about it. Thank you very much for taking the time to respond. Ali Jawhar
Your history is very short and presenting complaint is only one, which can occur due to multiple reasons. It is very difficult to tell exact cause for your suffering. We need to consider multiple possibilities in this case, which need to rule out. This kind of problem can occur due to:
-Stress and Anxiety: Relaxation exercise will help.
-Anemia: get CBC done.
-Vitamin deficiency: Take healthy diet
-Localized skin problem like photosensivity: In such case avoid sunlight
-Neuropathy
To narrow down diagnosis it is better to have detailed history and examination. For that you can visit nearby general physician to rule out above causes.
Wish you good health and all the best.
