Missed Period, Had Bad Cramps. Started Bleeding With Chunks. Is It Normal?
hello i just wanted to know if this was normal i missed my period last month at the end of last month i got really bad cramps that didnt let me sleep but still no period i got really bad pains again today that had me shaking when i stood up from bed blood just went down my legs and threw my clothes this has never happen befor when i went to check it was in chunks is this normal ?
Hi, If you are sexually active and not on any contraception, the first thing that should be excluded is an abortion. If that is not the case, you should get investigated for any pelvic causes or hormonal disorders. Either way, such bleeding is abnormal. You should see a gynecologist immediately, get a pelvic/trans-vaginal sonogram, blood counts, bleeding and clotting time, urinalysis and a pregnancy test if needed. Treatment is based on the cause and meanwhile bleeding can be arrested by using styptics. Hope you find this information useful. Wish you good health.
