Missed Periods. Pregnancy Test Negative. Prescribed Duphaston And Clomid. Recommended Follicular Monitoring. Help?

Hi Dr,
I am ttc from last 5 months. Last month I missed my periods. went for a PT which came back negative. Hence dr. has prescribed duphaston for 7 days and when I get my period, she has asked to take clomid from day 2 to day 7.
After that, she has asked me to come for follicular monitoring.
I am really upset and want to confirm if I would get pregnant soon. Please be kind to answer.

Hi, Thanks for using HCM.

After taking clomid, there is etimulation for ovulation so you have to go for followup for follicular monitoring.With this your doctor will tell you when exactly your ovulation is. Have sex during those days the chance of becoming pregnant is more. You can tell your partner also not to have more sex before that day as the sperm count will reduce temporarily due to more ejaculation. Till then have healthy food and activities. You can start folic acid also. If you dont become pregnant then we can evaluate other problem. So foll your doctor advice. Consult your doctor for examination and management.

Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum .
If follicles mature and liberation of ovum develops , you will be pregnant .
If ovum will not release ( not mature) then it will not be possible , to pregnant.
Concerned doctor will tell you whole things.

Clomid is a drug which helps in follicular maturation.
With regular follicular monitoring and intercourse at correct time increases the chances of conception. need not have to worry.
Take medication regularly and get regular monitoring of follicles.
