Hello and welcome to HCM,
Consecutive negative
pregnancy tests rule out pregnancy.
Menstrual irregularity along with excessive bleeding/ passage of
blood clots is indicative of some abnormality of the endometrium (uterine lining).
Pap smear will help to know the status of the ectocervical and endocervical lining.
This test is done to look for malignant changes or pre-malignant changes of the cervical epithelium.
However, you need to undergo an examination of the endometrium.
This can be done by endometrial curettings and
endometrial biopsy. It will help to know whether there is
hyperplasia (excessive growth) of the endometrium or any pathological change.
Treatment will be guided by the test results.
You need to visit your gynecologist for clinical examination and relevant investigations.
Thanks and take care
