Moths Surgery For Basal Cell On My Shoulder Few Months Back. Off And On Redness With Rashes. Is This Allergic Reaction To Surgery?
In june, i had mohs surgery for basal cell on my shoulder....it is now december, from the time of the surgery, i have have off and on heat and redness and in some cases(from ointment) had rashes....it has been almost 6 months and the scar still gets bright red and hot...what is this? he put deep stiches in wound that dissolve. could this be after 6 months, some kind of allergic reaction to the surgery?? i will be seeing the dermatologist again next week but would like to have some input now.
Hi i do not think any surgery process causes allergic rash.the materials used during surgery might have caused this allergic rash.it can be cured by atarax 25 mg at night .alaspan in the morning .application of calamine lotion can cure it.if no response go tor short course of steriods..if still no response see for embedded patticulars at the surgery site
