Muscle Pain In Chest, Severe While Coughing, Sneezing. Normal Chest X Ray. Any Ideas?

hi i have been getting muscle pain in my chest like a pulled a muscle . it happens about once a month and last for two or three days. Over the counter pain meds dont seem to help much. When i cough, sneeze or even move, the pain is bad... I went for a chest x ray about 4 months ago and they found nothing.. any clue of this?

Hello,
Since , how many days , you are having this pain in chest as you stated that 4 months back got an X ray chest.
Cough , sneezing present , but pain site is not mentioned .
Pain may be due to chondritis ( infection of cosatal muscles or ribs).
If cough is dry and recurrent may be due to allergic bronchitis and in X ray we will not find any thing in the beginning.
So in my opinion consult one more physician and get his opinion and complete blood test.
