Muscle Pain, Lifted Heavy Bags. Have 9 Stones, Abdominal Stitches Beneath Breast Bone. Muscle Strain?
Today I carried two bags of really heavy shopping I work out daily anyway and I am quite fit and used to carrying heavy things I'm female and age 39 9 stone and I have abdominal stitches from underneath my breast bone down through the middle of my belly and back hot water bottle is relieving the pain could this be a muscle strain?
As per your description, the most likely possibility is a MUSCLE STRAIN secondary to heavy lifting activity.
Try the following measures for improvement in your symptoms -
* Rest to the injured part and dont involve in activities which puts additional strain on the injured tissues. * Ice packing should be applied for about 20 minutes once in every 2 hours. * once the acute pain subsides, Moist heat should be applied for relaxing the muscles * Analgesic & anti inflammatory medications
Hi, From history it seems that your problem might be due to lifting heavy weight resulting your back and abdominal muscles got strained and went into spasm. Take analgesic medicine for 1-2 days and you will be alright. you can do hot water bottle application. Ok and take care.
