My 2 Years Old Child Is Having Problem In Doing Poop
hello, I have a two year old who has been sick for a week now. it started with a stomach virus (e.g., throwing up non-stop, unable to eat or drink) and continued with high fever , more inability or lack of desire to eat and drink and stuffed nose. She is fully potty trained and has been for over a year. However now she complains every time she sits on a potty. She says that she wants to poop, but when I put her on her potty, she complains of “buba” or that it hurts and quickly jumps up unable to do anything. I know that she wants to go #2, but she is not able/it hurts. Please help. Thank you

Hi,
Your baby must be having constipation &hard stools which are painful to pass out.
PLease try Glycerine suppository for children .Inset in anus after applying some vaseline to lubricate . Hold the buttucks & avoid expulsion for about 20 mts. this will sooth the stool & baby will be in a position to deficate.
Encourage baby to eat fibrous /nutritive food.
PL give her some b complex syrup & a mild purgative like Duphalac suspention dose depending on her age.to soothen & normalise her digestion.

get her to see some surgeon, she must have been having impacted stools in her rectum which needs to be removed manually or to check if there is some wound near the rectum
