My 4 Month Old Son Has Sever Cough And Chest Congestion, Please Help
My 4 month old son has sever cough and chest congestion. he has been given nebulization for 4 days (8 rounds) and numerous cough syrups. the problem does not seem to subside, what do we do?

Wait for three more days and continue the same nebulisation and the antibiotics. he will be cleared.

Severe cough with chest congestion is indicative a bacterial chest infection. Systemic antibiotics are needed fro the treatment after proper examination by his pediatrician. Giving steam inhalation will help but antibiotics are the mainstay of treatment. Symptomatic improvement can be had by giving him cough lozenges and ginger ale.
