My Foot Hurts Really Bad, Can You Help Me ?

Hello, I fell off the bleachers in my gym at school and my foot hurts really bad. Its not bruised or swollen but I can't walk well on it. Most of the pain is in my heel , where I landed, but if you look at it it's not noticeably in any pain. Can you help me?

Hi

You had mentioned in your query that it pains more at the heel where you land, it possibly mean that the soft tissue or bone there is injured. Since there is no obvious swelling it may not be a grievous or gross injury.

I suggest you to rest the part for couple of days and take any over the counter pill which contains Ibuprofen, thrice a day for two days after meal.

This takes two days to heal, if not you need a doctor examination.

Thanks,
Dr. Mazumdar

If you are unable to walk due to severe pain, i advise you go for X-ray. if no visible fracture line or soft tissue injury then go for 6" elastic crep Bandage and tied it as figure of eight. you use crep for 3 weeks or earlier if it painfree. if you have visible fracture line which not possible as per your description then POP slab for 3weeks.

Hi,
Thanks for query,
It seems that you might have sprain on the heel.
Do hot water fomentation and apply local analgesic cream.
Give rest to the part.
Take analgesics as and when required.
Ok and bye.
