My Legs Are Aching After Playing Soccer And Tennis Consecutively

Hi Dr. Today i went to play soccer and tennis consecutively and my legs were aching as they would after so much running around. however my forehead has also begun to hurt quite bad and is also sort of throbbing. I thought it may have been due to lack of food, but even after my dinner i still have it. Why is this?

Hi,
After prolonged exercise, the most likely cause of your throbbing headache is dehydration. I suggest you drink at least 1 litre of water and see if this makes an improvement. If not then drink further fluids and take paracetamol. This headache will not indicate anything serious.
Regards,
Dr K A Pottinger,
MBChB. FRCA.
