My Pleural Effusion Has Increased With Fluctuatuing Fever

my pleural effusion has increased to 2 liters after 4 days of ATT treatment, and my fever is fluctuatuing, what can be the cause, still waiting for the pcr result but doctors are still suspecting tuberculosis

The increase in pleural effusion could be due to added bacterial infection or some other metabolic factor...the cause to determine wil need other investigations. Wait for the PCR results and also ask your doctor to send a pleural fluid specimen for examination and culture sensitivity to see whats happening.
