I have a list of medication and would like to know the action or purpose for the prescriptions? Magnesium,Multivitamin,Pantoprazole,Amiodarone,Ferrous Sulfate,Gabapentin,Lisinipril,Meclizine,Tamulosin,Aspirin, I would appreciate the action? of each prescription. My friend who has a Pacemaker, and is 85 years old, who has been prescribed these medications would like to know the indication of these medications. My appreciation for your time. Noeline Briski

I appreciate your concern for your beloved friend's medication and their indications.

Given below are the indications for each prescribed medication:

1. Pantoprazole: Stomach acid suppressant for gastritis or reflux disease or peptic ulcer.
2. Amiodarone to correct the irregular heartbeats or arrhythmia
3. Ferrous sulfate, multivitamins, magnesium for anemia and other deficiency states
4. Gabapentin for painful neuropathy
5. Lisinopril to reduce high BP (hypertension)
6. Meclizine to treat vertigo
7. Tamsulosin for the symptoms of benign prostatic enlargement
8. Aspirin an antiplatelet as a blood thinner to prevent heart disease and stroke.
