Need Medication To Terminate Pregnancy
i just did a pregnancy test , my last period was exactly a month ago. the first day of my last period was 20 Dec 2012. The lines on the first response test are not too clear, 1 line is very dark and the other line is faded or light. Now, I want to know my options. I do not want to proceed with this pregnancy and want to take some minimally invasive medicine to terminate this pregnancy. I live in Ontario, Can. please help. thanks

Hello,
You can terminate pregnancy medically. Medical abortion can be done max 7-9wk of gestation completely. At 4-5 weeks, you can use medication in following way but always under supervision of gynecologist to avoid unnecessary excessive vaginal bleeding.
First take Tab Mifepristone 200mg (ideally 600mg) on D1, after 48 hrs take 2 Tab Misoprostol 200mg in the morning and under supervision of your doctor. You may need double dose sometimes in case of delaying to start bleeding.
Soon after taking Tab Misoprostol, abdominal cramp and vaginal bleeding start within 7 days and next period may be earlier/delayed.
Post pill abortion, do a USG lower abdomen to check retained bits/conceptional products if any and may need D &C to complete abortion.
Practice safe sex by using safe period/OCP/Em pill/other methods to prevent unwanted pregnancy.
