Need To Remove Knuckle With Osteomylites. Is Surgery The Only Option ?

I am looking for an orthopedic foot surgeon to remove a knuckle that has osteomylites in it. A podiatrist did the surgery for a hammer toe, but I think I must be prone to infections on foot surgery. This is the second time it has happened with this particular podiatrist. I need a sterile operating environment with antibiotics administered ahead of surgery, I think. I live in San Diego, California, 0000. Thanks, AAAAAA

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The severe infections like osteomyelitis may need the surgical removal of the infected bone if there is a dead bone piece inside or the infection is not getting properly controlled with the help of medicines.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
