Need Treatment For Leg Pain And Stiffness With Leg Neuropathy
My mom is 97, had lower leg neuropathy for many years. 3 months ago, stubbed R big toe, blood blister on tip, toes get very blueish/blackish when socks removed. Last Wed. night she awoke with leg cramps up and down her R leg, this kept happening for 2 days (went to dr. and to ER) she was screaming with pain. It seems the cramps have stopped, but leg is so sore and stiff she cannot walk. Dr wants to do an angiogram. Will and how will she heal? What should we do to help walking. She does take Tramadol and a prednisone tab. She is not diabetic.
Your question is what could be causing your mother's leg pain and if a angiogram would help. the angiogram will look for blockages of the arterial system. if there are then she may need additional procedures to improve the blood flow. She should be able to heal well if she is in good overall health.
I hope that answers your question. If you have any further questions please fell free to contact us again
