Need Treatment For Loss Of Balance

I am 84old, very good health,except I started having balance problems and could barley walk, had to use a cane.NO pain. Dr. wanta mri of my brain. Will that tell him what needs to be done so I can go back to my normal walking fast without balance problem?

Yes, MRI helps him to identify if there is any cerebellar involvement [helps in maintaining stability] and other lesion pertaining to loss of stability.
So, doing an MRI is advisable, also try to consult your doctor, if you are having any dizziness and vertigo to rule out any vestibular involvement.
