Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi Dear
Welcome to the Board of Health care Magic
Since your child is having left to right shunt because of Moderate sized Atrio septal defect.
Till the symptoms like cyanosis or failure to thrive (No weight gain) are not there you should not worry. Many times it closes naturally.
But one should regularly consult with Paed cardiologist and regular Color Doppler Echocardiography to assess the status of heart size and normal functioning.
Hope your query is answered
Thanks
