my new born nephew born on 03 aug 12 wt 2.5 kg he s getting febrile daily in afternun or evening b/w 100-101 f...on touching his cheeks i found something hard from inside like a clot same s developing on the other cheek also and on his back side also one hard kind spot is there. because of tht he cries a lott today i did bloot inv--- TLC COUNT-0000,HB-13%, BLOOD GROUP-A+, BABY S TAKING FEED NORMALLY BT NOT ABLE TO TAKE MOTHERS FEED,,DOCTOR HAS ADVICED TINNED MILK, IAM WORRIED ABOUT LEUKEMIA OR OTHER SORT OF BLOOD DISEASES,,PLZ HELP ME OUT AND WHT TREATMENT OR INVESTIGATION I HAVE TO FOLLLOW

In neonate fever causes are sepsis, urinary tract infections or upper respiratory tract infections. Consult your Pediatrician for examination of focus of infection and for the treatment. Sucking pads of fat will be there in cheeks and they are normal for neonates and they felt like palpable pads and nothing to worry.
