Night Sweats. Taking Citalopram And Resolor. Is Medicine Causing It?

Hello, I am 27 year old female that is 5 foot 6 and weigh 9 stone. I have been suffering from night sweats when i sleep even if its just a nap during the day. I have no medical conditions that i know of but i do take Citalopram and resolor daily could these be the cause ? I also "binge drink" as i only consume alcohol on a saturday night with friends plus over the last few months i have taken ecstasy along with the alcohol , could this be the cause of the sweats ? It extremely irritating as i wake every night shivery cold in sweat which is strange for me as i rarely sweat any other time as i am always cold. This has now been happening for months. Can it also be due to bad or uneasy dreams as i often wake to remember that the dream i was having was strange or scary ? i would appreciate your feedback please. Thanks

Hello

Thanks for the query

There three causes for your night sweats
1. Citalopram is known to cause night sweats in some patients, please do not stop this drug, seek advice from the physician who has prescribed the drug for an alternative
2. Ecstasy is also known to cause night sweats, I would like to add here that Ecstasy is highly addictive and mixing it with alcohol is dangerous. Please do not take Ecstasy
3. Bad dreams at night are because of Ecstasy and alcohol which can also cause night sweats.

I advice you to stop alcohol and Ecstasy first, if you are having withdrawal symptoms then please visit a psychiatrist for professional help to bring you back from addiction

I hope I was of help

Regards
