Night Sweats, Hot Flashes After Having Hysterectomy For Bleeding. History Of Post Menopause. Not On Hormones. Help
Hi, I am 6 to 7 weeks post op hysterectomy, I was 3yrs post menopausal when I had break through bleeding. My physician remove both ovaries and my uterus. I was told that I would not have to take any hormones since I never took any before during my postmenopausal. Now, I do have night sweats, hot flashes. Question, is there any alternatives to taking hormone pills, this is not what I want, if I have to sweat it out....than I will. I was not prepared to have this reaction. Other wise I feel good.
General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
hi, You seem to be psychologically strong. After your natural menopause, whatever small omount of hormones provided by your ovary, maintained you in good physical & & psychological health. After removal of uterus with ovaries you had a complete weaning of hormones,so you started having the symptoms. now, - You can get rid of the symptoms by having a positive psychology/ control over mind/ ideal lifestyle/diet having hormone like ingredient( like soyabean,) - consult your treating doctor need of hormone replacement. Thanks.
