No Erection. History Of Excessive Masturbation. Advice

Dear Dr. Nikul Patel
I got married in February 24’ 2012. I have not been able to have sexual intercourse with my wife. We both have become totally frustrated.

I think I have become impotent from past 3 years. I do not get erection on seeing a woman even after much effort. I used to masturbate a lot thrice or 5 times in a day from the age of 14-15. when I was unaware of it. But, from past 3 years, my erection and ejaculation have gradually diminished and now at present, there is no erection in the penis. My glans does not come out of my foreskin, it has lost is its elasticity, the tip of the glans has become dark. Even after much stroking of penis, I am able to get little erection and if ejaculation happens, the semen is very less and watery.

I have contacted to many doctors both allopathic and ayurvedic from past one year. But none of them have been able to diagnose my problem. Doctors at Apollo conducted penile colour Doppler test which came normal but showed penis bending to the left when erect. Dr. PK jain ayurvedic sexologist in Lucknow gave me medicines which caused me diarahea and stomach upset for the whole day.

After going through a lot search on internet I came to a conclusion that due to excessive masturbation I am suffering from Loss of Libido and Peyronie Disease in which scar tissues develop inside the shaft of the penis and penis bends towards one side, penis looses it elasticity to expand. Tip of penis becoming dark indicates nerve damage. Parasympathetic nerves becomes extremely weak, nerves no longer respond to nitric oxide released by liver. It becomes immune to it. Brain and nerve co-ordination gets disturbed, Penis nerves do not read impulses from brain, so there is no erection even one has an intense desire to have sex.
I do not want any false hopes from you Sir. Please let me know can i recover from penis nerve damage and
get back my powers back. I yes, then how?

Hi,

It has been a frustrating journey for you hopping from one to the other on-line web sites.

Did your penile Doppler test reveal chronic inflammation of tunica albuginea? Did the doctors at Apollo Hospital give the diagnosis of Peyronie's disease? If not, then you definitely do not have Peyronie's disease. Self diagnosis can be misleading. Moreover, it aggravates despondency making one feel hopeless and helpless.

Masturbation does not cause Peyronie's disease. Not all people with Peyronie's disease have difficulty in erection. People with Peyronie's disease can have erection and sexual intercourse. The sexual intercourse may be painful for people with Peyronie's disease.

You would not have married in February 2012 if you knew that you did not get erection.
You must be having erections then, but may not be having erections as strong as you would have liked.

There are other causes in newly married of not being able to do sexual intercourse. These are more common and eventually they lead to failure in getting erection.

With the high levels of despondency and helplessness that you presently have you will benefit by visiting a Sex Therapist. It is not uncommon for us to get such cases 3 days, 3 months, 3 years and even 6 years after marriage. They are DEFINITELY treatable.

If you have doubts visit an Urologist who will tell you conclusively whether you have Peyronie's disease or not.

With best wishes,
Dr. Ashok Koparday
