No Family History Of CAD. Am Diabetic. Angiogram Suggests 2 Stents. On Aspirin, Statin. Advise On The Medicines.
Hi, I am male 41, with no family history of CAD. I am diabetic for almost 6 years and the earlier 3 years it was uncontrolled. My angiogram suggested to place 2 stents, one is CIR left and the other in Right C arartery. Both are DES. What is the expectancy of these stents, I was put on aspirin 81mg, statin 25mg, metaprolal 25 mg and brilinta25mg.I was told to continue all these and can stop brilinta25mg after the year. Please advice
The medicines are appropriate Stent or CABG (Bypass surgery) should be done, as advised Further progression can be prevented or postponed by aggressive management of all the risk factors The treating doctor alone can suggest further based on his assessment of the situation.
Good luck Take care Wishing all well God bless
