No Periods, Little Brown Discharge, Strain Pains. On Microgynon. Any Treatment?
Hello! I am on mycrogynon 30 and my period was supposed to come last Sunday but I had only a little brown discharge from Tuesday evening until today and the period didn't came. Can you please tell what is possibly happening? By the way, I had some strain pains "down there" about two weeks ago. I used to have that type of pain before also but I think this time was stronger. Thank you!
Hi, Thanks for the query. During the usage of hormonal pills, some amount of disturbance in the menstrual cycles is common. Hormonal pills can present with side effects like intermenstrual spotting, irregular cycles, amenorrhea etc. If you miss the regular time of intake of pills, that can lead to break through bleeding. And also absence of periods can be seen after few months of usage of pills. The pain you mentioned may also be related to pill. But pelvic or urinary tract infection can also lead to these type of discomfort. So, if the pain persists, consult gynecologist once and get examined. If she recommends go for ultrasound. This will help in finding the cause for pain and also possible causes for irregular periods. According to that you can plan the treatment. Take care.
