No Periods Since D&C. Can I Use Contraceptives If I Have Sexual Union ?
Hi,
I always had a regular menstrual cycle since the day I got it. A 2-4 days delay or early was max in my periods. I got my last period on 16th Sep'2013. I missed my Oct periods and found out on 3rd Nov that I am pregnant for 8weeks and 6days. I got a d&c done on the same day and bled for 36 hours with very mild cramping. After that I went for a check up a week later i.e. on 8th Nov and my ultrasound showed a clean abdomen and there was no sign of pregnancy or any other complication. My doc was happy and so was I. She gave me 30 iron tabs since m little underweight. I consumed 20 of them every night. I also did an hcg test on 29th Nov and it came neg. Now I have stopped them. It's been a month since I got my d&c but I haven't got my periods, not even a sign. I am little worried. I haven't established sexual union since then. Secondly, I wanted to know that can I use contraceptive pills if I go for a sexual union now. Will it harm/delay my periods more or reduce my chances of getting pregnant in future? I don't want to get pregnant now. Please help me please.

The absence of periods after D&C could be due to extra curetting or pregnancy. It is best to start with a regular contraceptive pill after ruling out pregnancy by urine test.
