Nodule On Eyebrow, Swollen Eye. Applying Apple Cider Vinegar, Cold Compress. Causes For Symptoms?
I have had a small nodule at the exterior end of my eyebrow. Now the whole eye is swollen. It thought it was a boil , so I tried to relieve some of the pressure by squeezing it then applying apple cider vinegar and an antibitioic cream to the area. I also took 2 ibuprofen to help with the pain. I applied a cold compress and will apply a warm compress in a couple of hours. I can still see through the eye and I don t beleive the swelling is pushing on any nerves. What coupld be the cause of this?
Hi ,
You are right. A sudden nodule with swollen eye could be a Hordeolum (boil in common terms).
I would suggest to go with hot compresses 5-10 mins /twice a day along with a single dose of ibuprofen thrice a day and apply the eye drops at least 3times a day both inside and over the lid margins.
If it is not coming down with this, in a day, you need to consult for a direct examination to get started on oral antibiotics for a better and faster recovery.
Hi, Mobran,
Thanks for query.
from history it seems to ne infected Mybabian cyst.
Go for one antibiotic medicine course.
If it did not subside then you have to go for excision of the cyst.
Ok and bye.
