Non Stop Pain In Bottom Left Side, Red With Pus, Got Wisdom Tooth Extracted Earlier. Taking Antibiotics. Any Ideas?

I had the left side of my wisdom teeth extracted (by a dentist) in Jan. Everything was great, then all of a sudden, the bottom left side started with non stop pain. After many calls and visits later, my dentist assured me everything was fine. It's now May, and I noticed Friday that the area looked red. I touched it with my tongue and pus started coming out. Luckily, I have antibiotics and going to see the dentist tomorrow. Wtf do you think is wrong?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Thank you for your query.

If pus is coming out then there seems to be an abscess. However, the relation to wisdom tooth removal cannot be said with confidence. It shall be better to consult your dentist and, if needed, an x-ray be taken to rule out any erosion of the underlying bone.

I hope I have answered your query to your satisfaction.

Wishing you an early recovery.
