hello, Duphaston is also known as dyhydrogesterone it as a progesterone which is used to treat irregular periods and even it is used in pregnancy and to prevent miscarriages. It makes the lining of the uterus thick which is conductive to support the pregnancy. It acts on the endometrium converting proliferative phase to secretory phase. It also alleviates symptoms of endometriosis even pain and bleeding.Side effects include irregular periods, sudden break through bleeding, nausea, bloating etc.,As it is progesterone ofcourse it is associated with you menstrual cycles as you asked in your question.Thank you.
