Not On Birth Control. Had Periods, Then Had Unprotected Sex. Had Light Spotting. Then Had More Bleeding. Why Am I Having Irregular Bleeding?
I am not on birth control and I had my last months period on Sept. 13-19 and had this months period on oct. 8-13. Then I had unprotected sex on oct. 18. I then began to have very light spotting on Oct. 22nd but only lasted that one day.. And then on the 25-29 of oct. I had more bleeding but was not heavy at all.. According to my period calculator my next period was to be on the 2 of Nov. Why am I having irregular bleeding?
Hi, Thanks for the query. According to your history, the possible causes for the spotting are : - Post coital tear. This can lead to spotting . Spotting can stop after one to two days due to formation of clot. When the clot dislodges, again bleeding can be seen after few days. -Post ovulatory or intermenstrual spotting due to hormonal imbalance. - Implantation bleeding, as you are not using any contraceptive method there is possibility of pregnancy. Usually this type of spotting will subside soon. If continues better to consult gynecologist once and get examined. If you do not get regular periods on your expected date, go for blood test for pregnancy once. By this the possibility of pregnancy can be ruled out. Take care.
