Noticed A Bump Looks Like Rash From A Mosquito Bite
My 5 year old daughter was bit (on the shoulder) by a mequito or other bug this Sunday (March 2) while at a river here in Ga. This morning I noticed it was somewhat inflammed with a bumpy rash around it. I have been applying Benadryl cream 2 times a day but this afternoon the rash has spread from quarter sized to approx half dollar sized. What else do I need to do?
Hello, Thanks for the query, She might have got an insect bite. The signs are suggestive of this. Apart from benadryl cream a mild steroid and antibiotic cream will also be helpful. Observe the lesion carefully, if there is increase in size or pus in the lesion, you must meet a doctor. A photograph would have helped me in giving a closer diagnosis. Please meet a dermatologist for exact diagnosis. Let me know if you have any other doubt. you can ask a direct question to me on this forum, following the below link. http://www.healthcaremagic.com/doctors/dr-rahul-kumar/64818 Wishing you a good health.
