I have a cyst on my ovary and was told a larger sized one but the dr doesn't want to do anything. Recent months been having abnormal periods heavy bleeding and very large clots. been having period now for almost 2 weeks and now accompanied by abdominal pain as well as large clots. is this related to cyst. Age is 37
I understand that you have ovarian cysts that are fairly large. It would help to know he size. The abnormal periods and heavy bleeding may be due to cysts. If the cysts are simple cysts, they respond to progesterone therapy.
There may be other reasons for bleeding like polyps, fibroids, adenomyosis, but if cysts are there the first likely cause may be cysts. A D and C or endometrial biopsy or hysteroscopy will help rule out endometrial causes of bleeding.
Please discuss this with your doctor. A laparoscopic procedure may also be used to remove cysts.
Hope I was able to help. Please feel free to ask any more queries and I will be happy to answer.
