Noticed A Hard Stationary Node, Can It Be Related To A Bacterial Infection In Pelvi Region ?

I am a 37 year old female with a hard stationary node, can it be related to a bacterial infection in pelvi region. It dies not hurt nor move, which is my greatest cause for concern. A friend of mine in residency said it may be accumulated scar tissue, is this a possibility?
