Numbness, Tingling Sensation In Chest And Arm, Short Of Breath. Cause?
My husband is complaining of a numbness, tingling sensation in his right chest and arm, mild discomfort. He had an episode last night where he became very short of breath while walking a short distance that he had just walked a few hrs prior without a problem. His episode was like a bronchospasm. Is there something we should be looking at specifically for these symptoms?
Hello, Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum. I would come up with these possibilities , these includes. 1 Broncoconstriction i.e. due to allergy or very severe cold patient develops constriction in bronchi of lungs known as broncoconstriction . This develops shortness in breath, cough , whistling sound during breathing, numbness in chest and tingling sensation. Diagnosis can be confirmed by physical examination by a physician . 2 Cardiac asthma, diagnosis can be confirmed by E C HO , treadmill test . 3 Least possible cause may be angina , diagnosis can be confirmed by E K G as this breathless may occurred due to exertion. In my opinion consult a physician and get his opinion. Good luck. Dr. HET
