Occasional Dizziness. Taking Aten-50 For Hypertension. Medicine Side Effect?

sir,

i m 31yr old, doctor told me i m suffering frm hypertension. so he prescribed me medicine aten-50.From last 1yr i m taking this..

iz there any side effects of this tablet?

as i feel dizines some time durimg eveng tyme.. otherwise i m absolutely fine..

After taking dis tablet i measured my BP n it mas 130/90(digital instrument purchasd by me) plzzz help

Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
Aten ( atenolol ) is a beta blockers.
You are taking this drug from last one year. Your B P is now 130/90 mm of Hg .
The cause of concern is lower blood pressure i.e. 90 diastolic blood pressure.
In my opinion your diastolic blood pressure is high .
Dizziness is one side effect of aten -50 .
In my opinion consult your treating physician and get his opinion about lower blood pressure .
Otherwise get a second opinion.
