Old Aged, Unable To Lift Left Leg While Walking And Having Pain. Any Solution?
My grandad who's nearly 80 years old, his left leg as been giving him trouble for sum time now, while walking he is unable to Lift his left leg , always drags his foot along, if he stops to take a breather and then takes another step it looks like his left foot is glued to the floor and takes him good few seconds to get it going again. At present hes walking with aid of a walking stick but still unable to lift foot of ground, he's always in pain and is always rubbing his leg while seated or lying down.
Does his movement accompany PAIN? Has he had any neurological ailments before ? Given the age and symptoms described, looks like your grandpa has osteoarthritis of hips or knees and generalized weakness. Osteoarthritis in this case is an age related phenomenon in which the joints space decreases , hence the ''Unable to lift / flex sign'' Given his overall medical condition , he can go for a hip/knee replacement in order to have a better life.
