On Cymbalta, Suggested To Supplement With Abilify. Is It Safe ?

I need input from someone familiar with psychopharmaceuticals.
I have been taking Cymbalta 120 mg daily for five years. A doctor today suggested I supplement the Cymbalta with 2nd of Abilify. After reading all the patient input on various websites, I am having second thoughts about it. Have any of you had experience with patients who have combined these two meds?

Abilify (Aripiprazole) can be combined with Cymbalta. This combination is used sometimes in patients of psychotic depression not responding adequately to cymbalta.

As such, the pharmacokinetic / dynamic drug interaction between both the drugs is not clinically significant

But the whole issue will depend upon what is your diagnosis and what symptoms you need to improve now

You can discuss your apprehension of the combination drugs with your doctor and then take a decission
