On Leveoxyl 175 Mcg For Graves Disease And Hypothyroidsm. Headache, Dizziness After Reducing The Dosage And On Syntroid 137 Mcg. Normal?
I have Graves Disease and am currently Hypothyroid, I was on Leveoxyl 175 mcg and my regular doctor has been monitoring for the last couple of years. She recently reduced my dosage to 137 mcg. On top of that the Levixyl had a recall and this last month have been taking Syntroid 137 mcg. I have been having headaches and light headedness/dizziness on one side of my head is this a normal reaction?
Hello. It is possible that your symptoms are secondary to decreased levothyroxine dose, but usually disappear in a few weeks. Also if you have pain only on one side of the face, other diagnoses such as migraine should be considered. If you have other side effects such as decreased heart rate, weight gain, constipation or decrease of attention should go to your doctor for dose adjustment of levothyroxine. I wish you good health.
