On Levothyroxine For Hypothyroid. Can I Take A Medicine Containing Pseudoepidrine With Levo For Cold Without Any Side Effects?
Hi, I'm currently taking 50mg Levothyroxine for hypothyroid condition. I'm also suffering from a raging cold, the second I've have in about 4 weeks. The first didn't last long (though it felt long enough) but this one feels like it's settling in for a while. I know I shouldn't take phenylephrine with Levo, but the things I've read lead me to believe I *might* be able to take a medicine containing pseudoephedrine without any problems, although nothing seems definitive. What say you?

You can Levocetrizine It will not interact with your levothyroxine. It is a good drug for cold, pseupdoephidrine is known to interact with levothyroxine and increases blood pressure. However please visit your doctor, self medication might not be a good idea as the cold has recurred. Further investigations maybe required
