On Quinapril For High BP. Now Have Diarrhea, Dry Cough. Did Blood, Urine Sample. On Antibiotic For Urine Infection. Treatment?

I have started this tablet for High Blood pressure called Quinapril 10mg Ive never been on blood pressure tablets before then diarrhea started and this continual dry cough that happens all day long, will this cough continue always, the cough stops when I am lying down. Its been about 14 days now since all of this began. Ive had bloods done, urine sample done, and started a 3 day course on an antibiotic (Trimethoprim Tabs 300mg) for a urine infection I didn't even realise I had , more diarrhea again about 6am so ive made an appointment for 9.45am this morning so hopefully he will give me something to make it stop is that possible? Looking forward to your words of advice. I am female 5ft 4" and 59 yrs old and 70kg

Hi,
From history it seems that this might be due to Quinapril where many a time side effects like diarrhea, coughing, difficulty in breathing etc.
Gradually this will be alright with time.
Consult your doctor and discuss about this.
He may go for change ot medicine.
Ok and take care.
