On And Off Pain In Arm, Detected Due To Muscle Spasms. No Relief From Ibuprofen. History Of Being Kicked Multiple Times. Help
Hi,
My friend was kicked several times two years ago and he has pain in his arm that comes and goes. He has been to the emergency room several times and they told him that the pain was due to muscle spasms. They prescribed ibuprofrene but still no relief. is there anything that he can do to help with the pain?
Simple Ibuprofen usage will not completely relieve muscle spasms. You have to use a muscle relaxant medication like Tizanidine or Cyclobenzaprine (these medicines are to be taken after consulting a doctor) for a few days will resolve the muscle spasms.
Also, physical therapy in the form of gentle massaging and stretching followed by moist heat fomentation over the affected area will also provide good symptom relief.
If the symptoms are recurring, you need a detailed evaluation.
Hope this information is helpful. Good day
