I have a strange pain in my back from time to time while laying down, usually....it feels like a trapped nerve but if I stand up it makes me feel faint or dizzy and there seems to be a certain cold feeling. This has happened before and I lost consciousness briefly but came around after hitting my head against the wall twice...

Hi, the fainting may be due to the stretch of the muscles on the back, or a stone in the ureter , or an infection of the urinary tract.It also can be due to the concusion of the brain after hitting the head.
I advise you to consult a physician for diagnosis and treatment.
