On Clarithromycin For Bronchitis, But No Results. Missed Periods, On Birth Control, No Sex. Reasons ?
I was prescribed clarithromycin for bronchitis , which also isn t working, but i was supposed to get my period tuesday but i still have no cramps and have not gotten it, I have been regular my whole life and I m on birth control but I haven t had sex in probably a few months and got my period each month before this..do you know why it could be so late? or not come at all, is that normal?
The reason for the absent period is most likely the bronchitis. It is a stressor for the body and hence any chronic illness may potentially delay periods. If you are sure that there is no pregnancy, do not worry and just wait. The period will come after a few days maybe even 2-3 weeks. It is not unusual.
f the periods are absent for more than a month then an investigation for hormonal issues and ultrasound for condition of ovaries is needed.
Just relax, and let the bronchitis heal. Most likely the periods will come.
