On Combiflam, Omee, Qulef Pod, Limcee Tablets For On And Off Fever With Pain In Calf Muscles. Blood Test Showed Severe Virus. Advice

My husband has been suffering with intermittent fever for the last 8 days. We went to our family physician who suggested him to take combiflam/imol plus, Omee (omeprazole IP), Qulef Pod ( cefpodoxime proxetil ), Limcee (vitamin C) tablets...Somehow, when under the effect of the medicines (combiflam or imol plus) he feels fine and after a span of 7-8 hours the fever comes back with heavy leg pain on the calf muscles. Last week itself a blood test was conducted which showed that there was severe virus...therefore the fever will be for some time...Please advise.

Fever is a symptom and not a disease by itself. Fever is brought down using drugs like combiflam which is a safe and effective treatment for fever.
The most important approach in the treatment of fever is to identify the underlying cause and treat it.Since in your husband's blood test some virus has been identified so I think there is nothing to worry.In some viral infections, the fever may be self-limiting(that is, the fever will disappear once the infection is cleared).
malaria is an important cause of intermittent fever so it should be tested along with dengue and typhoid.
