Operated For Stage 3 Colon Rectal Cancer, Difficulty With Bowels, Lots Of Gas, Laxatives No Help. Natural Remedy ?

I was diagnosed with colon rectal cancer 3 years ago...stage 3. I was operated and did the chemo and radiation. All test show that I am cancer free. I have great difficulty with my bowls, constipation, gas and constant urge to move my bowls but can not go. I take Swiss Kriss herbal laxative every night and move my bowls in the morning but I still feel the urge to go during the day and lots of gas. What can I do naturally to help with these issues. Will taking the Swiss kriss hurt me? I tried the high fiber diet but it really blocked me. Can you help, Many thanks.

Before taking anything. Get a surgeon to do a per rectal examination to see for any palpable mass due to recurrence or a possible fissure in d anal region. And secondly u haven't mentioned wat type of surgery u have undergone and which part of the colon u had d surgery done on. Third, I would suggest you to take an perfect X-ray of your abdomen to see for any obstruction, mostly around the surgery site and last of all a CT abdomen can b done to check for any mass compressing or causing an obstruction in the bowel. If all is well. And all these tests are normal. Then diet modification to high fibres like bananas and lodsa green veggies and a laxative called cremaffin plus 2 teaspoons by nite or a 2 tablets dulcolex should do d trick. If the is impacted stools in d rectum. Try with procteoglysis enema first and if dat doesnt work, then plan for an invasive method called digital evacuation under general anaesthesia. But if the tests show any positive findings, visit the surgeon immediately.
