Overweight, Have Hemorrhoid On Finger, Raised Blue Vein, Numbness. What Seems Like A Problem?
I am a 29 year old male, Caucasian. I am 6 foot and slightly overweight (probably in the 250 range). Earlier I noticed a "brushburn" like pain in my left ring finger, on the first knuckle. It only hurts when I touch it or agitate it, and a blue vein is raised. I didn't injure my finger (that I am aware of) and I feel like this has happened before. I equated it to a hemorrhoid on my finger. 6 hours later I was curious to see why it happens and most results on the internet point to a blood clot, and now I am reasonably stressed. Should I be concerned? Is a blood clot most likely, or is there another possible diagnosis. There is no temperature change in the finger or numbness... only mild pain when I bother it. Any help would be appreciated as I dont yet have insurance and already owe $3000 to an er for a kidney stone last year. Thank you in advanced.
