Pain And Burning During Urination. Constant Tendency To Urinate. Blood Clots In Urine. Reason?
Hi, yes. A few days ago or so, I noticed some pain and slight burning during urination. (I am a female) When I woke up this morning, the tendency of having to use the bathroom was constant every few minutes with now gooey blood clots coming out with only a few drops of urine although it feels like I haven't used the bathroom all day, only a little will come out. I find myself having to clench my jaw while I use the bath room to distract from the severe burning and pain from urinating. Please help with diagnosing what this could be and suggesting a way to subside the pain & get rid of whatever is causing this!
Pathologist and Microbiologist, Dr. Nithya's Response
Dear madam, you are suffering from urinary tract infection(UTI).The causes and the complications for UTI are diverse.the sudden pain during urination and blood clots are mostly associated with renal stones.and you didnt mentioned whether you had abdominal pain/loin pain.anyways get an urinary culture done and an ultrasound to rule out stones.consulting an urologist in person is a better option. do not worry much.most of them are treatable with medicines when diagnosed early.dont delay the process.
