Pain And Discomfort In Knee. Worn Out My Cartilage? Why Does It Swell With Burning Sensation?
Hello, My name is Ruchir, and I have been having slight pain/Discomfort in right side of my Knee , which is not really painful and goes away if i start running but after any major activity when I cool down, knee swells up and gives me a burning sensation .. or it becomes really dis-comfortable if i sit on chair/Motor bike for too long .. I saw a doctor, he told me I have worn out my Knee Cartilage , is this true ?
- Do regular knee exercises (quadriceps and hamstrings). - Always warm up before exercising and cool down afterwards. Stretch your quadriceps and hamstrings. - Lose weight if you are overweight. Every pound that you are overweight puts about 5 extra pounds of pressure on your knee cap when you go up and down stairs. - If you have flat feet, try special shoe inserts and arch supports (orthotics). - Make sure your running shoes are made well, fit well, and have good cushioning
I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query. Take care
