Pain Behind Lower Rib Cage, Yellow Stool, On Ketogene Diet, Hysterectomy Done. Does Taking Multiple Painkillers Damage Liver?

I have pain on my right hand side towards the back right behind my lower rippcage. My stool this afternoon was yellow. I am on a Ketogene diet to lose weight and starve my cancer. Last Monday I got a Hysterectomy via keyhole surgery and currently I am taking 8 Paracetamol, 3 Ibuprofen, 1 Omeprazole, 3 Colpermin per day plus 2 injections of Clexane. I am worried that the amount of painkillers is damaging my liver.

I am afraid, I am not able to pay £15.00, I am stat. sick leave. Sorry for bothering you

Hello,

Due to post hysterectomy surgery doctor had prescribed you painkiller medicine to prevent pain and stress on your body.

Pain killer medicine can damage liver if they are taken for chronic/long duration more than 3-4 months continuously. For monitoring their toxic effect on liver we can do liver function tests which major liver enzymes. If their values are out of range than you have to worry.

In your case I think doctor will stop your painkiller after 10-15 days. Therefore you should not worry for your liver damage. Be rest and calm that will helpful for better recovery.
