Hi,
The pain that you experienced during the start of your anaesthesia could have been a side-effect of an anti-sickness drug which results in pain in this area that lasts for 20 to 30 seconds. It is a rare but recognised side-effect. I do not know what drugs were used for your anaesthetic but this is a possibility.
The prolonged itching that you are experiencing is very unusual but could possibly be related to the drug. These symptoms are likely to subside over time.
