Pain In Elbow And Upper Arm While Playing. History Of Broken Left Wrist, Right Growth Plate, Was On Arm Cast. Serious?

My 12 yr old son broke his wrist on left side with full ARM cast for 4 wks and short cast 2 wks. He also broke his right growth plate but wasn't severe. It was in removable splint for same time. He has had them both off for 2 weeks. The right wrist does not hurt, but his elbow & mostly upper ARM hurts when practicing pitching for baseball. Does this need to be checked further or does he need more exercise in the ARM? Thank you

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The mild pain that he is feeling is likely to be due to post traumatic stiffness in the area. This is likely to subside on its own with hot fomentation and gradual exercises as directed by physical therapist.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
